Just a few short weeks before Captain America: Civil War hit theaters, Marvel isn’t ready to cede the pop culture conversation to anyone, debuting the trailer for their next installment in their ever-expanding cinematic universe, Doctor Strange. The longtime psychedelic character of the Marvel world is finally coming to the big screen, with dreamboat Benedict Cumberbatch stepping into the role of Stephen Strange in Scott Derrickson‘s film.
Also joining the Marvel Cinematic Universe are Rachel McAdams, Mads Mikkelsen, Chiwetel Ejiofor, Benedict Wong, and a bald Tilda Swinton — I repeat, a bald Tilda Swinton! It has been years since I last picked up a Doctor Strange comic, but not only has Marvel built up enough goodwill that I trust them to make good movies with their characters, this trailer really sells a movie unlike anything else that Marvel has ever attempted.
Things are about to get strange in the Marvel Cinematic Universe when Doctor Strange warps into theaters on November 4th, 2016.
