Disney’s 101 Dalamatians, the 1961 classic is hitting Blu-Ray/DVD/Digital Combo pack and after all these years, it still holds up.
Pongo (Rod Taylor), Perdita (Cate Bauer) and the litter of pups must take on Cruella De Vil (Betty Lou Gerson), the London villainess who makes PETA cringe at the mere mention of her name. Nothing is more cruel than wanting to turn domesticated animals into the ultimate fear coat, making her the worst of the Disney baddies.
The story still stays strong and is a blast to watch, but the Blu-Ray edition is in standard instead of letterbox format and the digital copy is the 1996 Glenn Close live action version.
Regarding bonus features, The “Walt Disney Presents – ‘The Best Doggoned Dog in the World'” that originally aired in 1961 is a nostalgic delight.
“The Future Adventures of Thunderbolt” is a wildly entertaining animated short of our favorite pup’s television series.
