Director Mike Roth Talks his Latest DC Animated Feature, ‘Merry Little Batman‘ Now Streaming on Prime Video.
In ‘Merry Little Batman‘, evil is afoot this Christmas and Batman (Luke Wilson) is off world helping the Justice League as lil’ Damian Wayne (Yonas Kibreab) is left alone in Wayne Manor with Alfred Pennyworth (James Cromwell). Now the young Wayne has to keep his father’s rogue’s gallery at bay when The Joker (David Hornsby), Mr. Freeze (Dolph Adomian), The Penguin (Brian George), Poison Ivy (Therese McLaughlin) and the rest have to be put in their place to restore Gotham City to order before opening presents on Christmas morning.
Director Mike Roth takes us on the journey of ‘Merry Little Batman‘ by turning Damian Wayne from Bat Brat to the adorable and precocious Baby Bat on a full length animated feature that most of us (myself included) expected to a 22-minute short. This all leads to the ‘Bat Family‘ series that will also be coming to Prime Video.
Roth and I briefly discuss our birthdays being three days apart, the humor of incorporating the 1960s camp of the Adam West series with a fun, family friendly Batman, as the jokes do not go over the younger audience’s head, while not boring the parents. This is an introduction to Batman and Damian Wayne in case after 80 plus years of the Batman, someone was not familiar with Gotham’s Dark Knight.
‘Merry Little Batman‘ Now Streaming on Prime Video and is the holiday movie you deserve.
