Unger to Guide Expansion of Three Six Zero Group’s Roster Into Film, TV and Digital Content
LOS ANGELES, February 11, 2015 – Talent agent David Unger has joined Three Six Zero Group co-founders, Mark Gillespie and Dean Wilson to form Three Six Zero Entertainment. Unger and Gillespie will serve as co-CEOs, overseeing offices in Los Angeles, New York and London. The new venture will operate in partnership with Shawn “JAY Z” Carter’s entertainment company Roc Nation.
Three Six Zero Entertainment will expand the company’s existing music roster to include actors, writers and directors with a focus on the core functions of talent and literary management as well as production (film, television and digital projects). They will also offer financial and branding advisory services to the global entertainment and media industries.
Since 2007, Three Six Zero Group has earned a reputation as a leading international music management company whose roster includes Calvin Harris, Frank Ocean and Deadmau5, among others. In 2010, Three Six Zero inked a worldwide partnership with US entertainment company Roc Nation.
As previously reported, an HBO series about the world of electronic music is in development, with Calvin Harris, Mark Gillespie, Dean Wilson, James Lassiter, Will Smith and Shawn “JAY Z” Carter producing. As Three Six Zero Entertainment, the company will continue to develop hybrid projects with talent across diverse disciplines.
“The authenticity of engagement with a young audience has already been well established by Three Six Zero, we will now expand to meet the need for international talent in the areas of film and television,” said Unger.
Mark Gillespie added, “The phenomenal growth and cross-over from international territories and ancillary businesses has transformed the way we service our clients globally. It is a natural fit for us to partner with David.”
“Three Six Zero Group is a phenomenal visionary and ground breaking partner to Roc Nation. Three Six Zero Entertainment is another extension of their profound creativity and exponential reach into all mediums and all territories. Mark and Dean and the Three Six Zero family have achieved tremendous success in music and now Three Six Zero Entertainment will expand their potential in film and television.” Said Jay Brown, Roc Nation co-founder and CEO.
Three Six Zero Entertainment is a full-service management company representing clients in the areas of music, film, television and branding globally. The company will operate in partnership with all the major talent agencies.
