Cobra Kai: The Karate Kid Saga Continues Trailer
Cobra Kai is getting more and more popular. We have Season 3 coming next year on Netflix, and now we have a co-op beat’em up game that’s out now! Cobra Kai: The Karate Kid Saga Continues is available on PS4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch. The game was made in collaboration with the series’ creators, Josh Heald, Jon Hurwitz, and Hayden Schollsberg, and features an original story from opposing perspectives of Cobra Kai and Miayagi-Do. The story has unique cutscenes, dialogue, and the voices of Ralph Macchio, William Zabka, and more. Players will be able to seamlessly switch between eight playable heroes from both dojos, with each character having their own unique moveset and ultimate moves. Lastly, players must complete both campaigns to get the ultimate ending.
The inclusion of superpowers, as seen in the trailer, is a perfect way to exaggerate the characters in the video game medium. Having LaRusso have ice powers is a perfect fit, and the fire wings for Hawk is genius. The beat’em up genre also makes perfect sense and gives off a Streets of Rage vibe. The game looks to embody the show’s gang-like heir and action in the best way possible. I really hope Aisha is a playable character with front wedgie as an ultimate.
Anyway, the game is out now for $39.99 at major retailers as well as the PlayStation Store, Microsoft Store, and Nintendo eShop. Read below for the official press release from GameMill Entertainment:
