Chris DeMoulin, CEO/GM of Los Angeles Comic Con parent company CEI, Talks About What to Expect This Year from LA’s Premier Pop Culture Event.
Los Angeles Comic Con, L.A.’s premier event celebrating comics, gaming, sci-fi, anime, and pop culture, is thrilled to unveil its full slate of panels, entertainment, and activations for the October 4-6 show. Building on the momentum from its most diverse and engaging event in 2023, L.A. Comic Con is poised to elevate the fan experience even further in 2024. The convention promises to deliver an array of highly requested celebrity guests for panels and autograph sessions, and new partnerships with brands like IGN will enhance the overall experience.
Chris DeMoulin, CEO/GM of Los Angeles Comic Con parent company CEI, reflected on the event’s journey: “Every year, it’s our goal to give attendees the most diverse, eclectic, and inspiring show, that lets them rediscover why they’re fans in the first place. This year, we’re really touching on the nostalgia strings, bringing together some of our most requested guests and panels from the epic classic films we all know and love, while also highlighting the works of new creatives. We’re also continuing to embrace our growing gaming audience by doubling down on our West Hall activations. L.A. Comic Con 2024 will celebrate the creativity, artistry, diversity, and passion of being an Angelino and a Comic Con fan overall.”
DeMoulin’s connection to L.A. Comic Con began when he joined the event during its Stan Lee’s Comikaze days, just as I began reporting on it. Now, nearly a decade and a half later, L.A. Comic Con continues to thrive, bringing fans what they crave in the Los Angeles market.
The 2024 event will feature over 300 panels and programming across its three days, spotlighting some of pop culture’s most beloved figures. Highlights include a reunion panel for ‘The Addams Family‘ with Anjelica Huston, a series of ‘Star Wars‘ panels featuring Ewan McGregor and Rosario Dawson, and a live simulcast of the ‘Back to the Future‘ panel with Michael J. Fox, Christopher Lloyd, Tom Wilson, and Lea Thompson.
In partnership with IGN, L.A. Comic Con will broadcast all the major highlights of the weekend. The convention will also debut exciting new gaming activations in the West Hall, including the MILK Cup LAN Fortnite Championship, which will feature 99 top women gamers competing for a $250,000 prize pool—the largest women’s eSports prize in North American history.
L.A. Comic Con will take place at the Los Angeles Convention Center, 1201 South Figueroa Street, Los Angeles, CA 90015. Show hours for the three-day event are as follows:
❖ Friday, October 4: 1:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m.
