The cast of “Liv and Maddie” came down to Long Beach to hold a meet-and-greet at the Queen Mary’s CHILL. The event was amazing and entertaining for adults and children of all ages. To start off the night, we had three United States women’s teen ice skating champions and finalists give a beautiful performance on the rink. I have personally never seen an ice skating performance so up close and it was an honor to watch these beautiful ladies work their magic on the ice. I can only imagine how these three will grow and progress in their careers. I was unfortunately unable to get the names of the three, but if you do please drop a comment.
The cast was full of smiles while in anticipation of the long line of people excited to meet them. The cast even took the time to talk and take pictures with their fans, while not making the rest wait too long. Thankfully, they didn’t have to freeze outside in southern California’s “winter,” with a blistering low of 70 degrees. The cast was generous to do two autograph signing sessions for people that were unable to come the first and later enjoyed the winter attractions that CHILL had to offer. Unfortunately the lighting wasn’t the very best for photos since they were coming from lights meant for the ice skating rink. Despite that, everyone was full of smiles and joy, but who wouldn’t be at the Queen Mary’s CHILL?
With this being my first time at CHILL I was not sure what to expect, but I was pleasantly surprised with what I discovered. There are a ton of photo-ops for people, I loved the enchanted forest at the beginning of the maze, ice skating, a giant wooden horse ride, a swing ride, and even paintball. My personal favorite were the Glacier Slide and Ice Kingdom inside the Igloo. The Glacier Slide, as the name suggests, is a giant slide made of ice and you can go faster than you think with the right amount of strength. The Ice Kingdom was a giant freezer with some amazing ice sculptures that told the popular winter story, “A Christmas Carol.”
Overall the event was pretty overwhelming. While the meet-and-greet for the cast of Liv and Maddie was only for one night, Queen Mary’s CHILL is open for select dates until January. Click the link below and check it out before time runs out!
Very lively meet and greet. CHILL provided fun for both children and adults. Amazing performances from the figure skaters.
