Marvel’s first female led film has tapped Guardians of the Galaxy co-writer Nicole Perlman and Pixar’s Inside Out writer Meg LeFauve to pen its script, according to THR. Marvel’s cinematic universe mastermind, Kevin Feige, liked both of their separate pitches for Captain Marvel, and has decided to combine them, making Perlman and LeFauve a writing team.
Perlman was a part of Marvel’s early screenwriting program where she worked on a draft of the GotG script. LeFauve is a producer with Inside Out as her first writing credit. The film has yet to find a director or cast, despite what Screenrant has to say. Marvel had made a big deal about finding a female writer for the film, and now they have two.
Marvel’s Captain Marvel hits theaters July 6th, 2018.
