Spike Lee has had enough of this madness. The acclaimed and controversial (only to a certain segment of the population) filmmaker returned to theaters this year with one of his biggest hits yet in BlacKkKlansman, the unbelievable true story about how Colorado Springs Police Officer Ron Stallworth (David Washington) was able to infiltrate the Ku Klux Klan and derail a domestic terrorist plot. The latest Spike Lee Joint is a fiery work of cinema, one that sees Lee unleashing a sharp social commentary that cedes no ground in proclaiming the hate of yesterday to be no different than the hate of today. BlacKkKlansman is also a blistering work of film criticism, taking on a number of revered classic that lionize the Confederacy and the culture of white supremacy.
BlacKkKlansman is currently available on Digital HD and will be released on Blu-ray on November 6, 2018 from Universal Pictures Home Entertainment.
