From TSA Agent to Voice Actress, Benni Latham Shares Her Journey to Being Cast in, ‘Transformers: Earthspark‘ now on Nickelodeon and Paramount+.
In the new Nickelodeon series, ‘Transformers: Earthspark‘, rising voice actress sensation, Benni Latham brings to life Dot Molto, a earthling, in a mixed race marriage with two adopted children. A role that she was born to play as she comes from a military background and her sister lives the family dynamics of Dot.

Latham’s journey into voice acting began as the friendly lady working for TSA at Los Angeles International Airport (LAX), who, like me complains about the people that wait to get to the front of the line to get naked before going to the metal detector.
Having always dreamed of being a voice actress and inspired by Cree Summers, who voiced Penny on ‘Inspector Gadget‘, Latham decided on a career change when, in 2013, an active shooter entered Terminal 2, opening fire, killing co-worker and injuring several passengers. The near loss of her life changed her path from only dreaming of a career behind the mic, to taking a leap and making it happen.
‘Transformers: Earthspark‘ is only the fourth voice acting gig Latham has had according to her IMDB page and already created a fanbase for the California State University, Dominguez Hills alumna.
Probably, one of the funniest reveals in the interview is learning that in her on camera commercial work, shortly leaving TSA, she was cast as the TSA Agent in a Samsung phone commercial.
Latham is quite gracious with her time and fans, is constantly smiling and is someone I am honored to have interviewed. Her dream DC Animated role would be to voice Amanda Waller…just remember me when they need a Simon Baz and we’re golden.
