After years of teasing, development and speculation Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice finally hits the theaters this Thursday. Two of the most iconic comic book heroes of our time are set to clash in an epic battle that many of us have waited decades to see on the big screen.
If you are anything like me, and admit it many of you are, there are more superhero tees hanging in your closet than anything else. My wife has often joked with me that I will either be wearing a comic shirt or an Atlanta Braves shirt on any given day, because besides dress clothes that’s about all that I own. Recently she made me order a new large pack of hangers because I ” have to many comic shirts and not enough hangers.” I have had to pare some down, retire the more garish of them, because as I have grown older I like to show my love for this genre in more of a subdued manner. This means gone are the shirts covered with characters and color over every inch, and replacing them are more subdued representations like this Batman distressed logo tee from Design By Hümans.
I am a Superman fan through and through, I have a Superman shield on my right shoulder and a Supergirl pink shield on my left arm representing my 3 daughters. But something is perennially cool about Batman, how the character explores the human psyche, how we cope with tragedy and loss, and how Batman just plain kicks ass. Design By Hümans sent me over this Batman tee to celebrate the upcoming movie and I love it. I am not a huge fan of the thick tees, this one is stretchy and breathable and looks cool as hell. Luckily we know that the heroes will eventually resolve their differences and form the Justice League, so I am sure Supes won’t mind what I wear to the theater on Thursday night.
