August Geek Fuel Unboxing
The August Geek Fuel Box has a little transformation, some looney-ness, the worst heroes ever, and helps you catch’em all
Geek Fuel steps it up again with their August Geek Fuel Box. This box has something to help you catch’em all, experience some looney nostalgia, transform your attire, and decorate you fridge. Then tops you off with an exclusive variant along with a certificate of authenticity. This month’s box is easily one of my favorites and has no cons to it.
First out the box, we have the Geek Fuel Exclusive PokemonGo Pouch. Perfect to help you carry your phone along with any extras you will need to keep your phone alive. It also comes with these placards that let you display the Team Instinct Crest. I don’t know why they included Articuno and Moltres placards as well, I guess Geek Fuel supports people who make bad decisions or are unable to think independently of a two party system. Then we’re given a Kidrobot mystery figure of a Looney Toons character, one of the 3 Geek Fuel Exclusives (Martian Man Hunter, Foghorn Leghorn, Porky). I got Porky. Geek Fuel also appears to be all in the pin game, with their own exclusive Geek Fuel Pin. I remember the days I used to judge pin fanatics, then Marvel had to release Skottie Young pins and ruin my wallet and take four hours of my day at Comic-Con only to run out of the GD Mystery boxes by the time I got there! – But that’s another story.
Now my favorite items, and where I think Geek Fuel is really stepping their game up compared to the competition. The Dungeon Rift Download code that is part of the Dungeon Rift Magnet set. It’s already amazing that Geek Fuel gives you a game in every box, but now they throw in useful and pretty cool accompanying items with it! Most people would be happy to have the redemption code written on a napkin, but Geek Fuel continues to think about the little things and make what is normally mundane, amazing. Next the Transformers shirt. Geek Fuel is great at giving subscribers unique shirts, I constantly wear the Tyrion’s vineyard shirt with people flipping out once they realize what it is, and I just really love the Slimer shirt from last month. The Transformers’ shirt is not quite as cool, but the packaging again is another nice touch to what most other companies would overlook. It isn’t as cool as the ghost trap, but it’s still a really nice touch that really shows the thought and care that goes into Geek Fuel’s products. Last but not least, the DC Rebirth Suicide Squad #1 Variant with a certificate of authenticity. I mean a variant is a variant; they’re all masterpieces in their own right, but having the certificate of authenticity just gives it a sense of validation that helps counter the little voice that says “you bought 3 copies of the issue…”
The August Geek Fuel Box is a perfect box. Everything was very relevant and practical. Geek Fuel continues to up their game with their franchise/theme choices, choice of products, and general attention to detail that takes everything up a notch. It’s the little details that really separate Geek Fuel from like products. Be sure to head to GeekFuel.com to get yours!
