The Heavyweights close the Glory Superfight Series as Benjamin Adegbuyi of Romania takes on the UK’s Daniel Sam. The giants touch gloves and Adegbuyi lands a side kick to Sam’s body.
Even after Sam’s splits the uprights, landing a crotch shot, Adegbuyi doesn’t stop to adjust or call for the referee’s attention, he just goes on the offensive, driving Sam’s against the ropes and into the corner.
Adegbuyi is searching for the knockout but Sam’s guard is strong with only one of six body blows landing in that exchange before the round ends.
During the second Adegbuyi has been most successful with landing body shots as Sam’s has been able to protect his head throughout the majority of the round. Sam’s biggest defense has been able to only push the Romanian off and dodging a big head kick while against the ropes. Sam’s is knocked out with only 10 seconds left in the round, but the bell couldn’t save him as he was knocked out at end of the second at 2:59.
