Things continue to get groovy for the 60s swinging Adam West inspired Batman and the Boy Wonder, Robin as they team up with The Man from U.N.C.L.E.
Napoleon Solo and Illya Kuryakin are on a mission to defeat the evil agents of T.H.R.U.S.H. Unfortunately for U.N.C.L.E., their foes have begun recruiting the most nefarious, villainous of villains from Gotham City. Now, U.N.C.L.E. must reveal themselves to the Dynamic Duo in hopes to bring an end to the treachery within Batman’s home turf that leads both teams on a collision course on the continent of Europe.
I love old television shows, especially Batman and The Man from U.N.C.L.E., so this team up is definitely a fanboy moment for me. Reading the dialog I constantly heard Adam West, Burt Ward, Robert Vaughn and David McCallum in my head. The only thing that would have been better than reading this comic is if this actually had happened on tv!
Jeff Parker and David Hahn brought the feel of the original series to the pages of DC Comics and for that we have to thank them, they used their own style to capture the essence of the shows and for that we must thank them.
Batman ’66 Meets The Man from U.N.C.L.E. number 1 is out at your local comic shop and online now.
