Whether you call it Cemetery Man or Dellamorte Dellamore, there’s no denying that Michele Soavi’s 1994 demented horror comedy is an oddball classic. Starring Rupert Everett as Francesco Dellamorte, a caretaker at a cemetery where the dead return to life, Dellamorte Dellamore is based upon the novel by Tiziano Sclavi. There are a number of similarities between Francesco and Sclavi’s other creation Dylan Dog, however, the recent Dylan Dog film is nowhere near as good as Dellamorte Dellamore. There were rumors about a possible sequel but those have never come to fruition. Sequel or no, this is a film that will live forever.
