One of the truly great horror-comedies, An American Werewolf in London is among the most influential films of the past 40 years. Featuring fantastic makeup effects by Rick Baker, John Landis’ take on The Wolf Man is as funny as it is gory. Since it’s John Landis (director of The Blues Brothers), the film features a fantastic rock ‘n’ roll soundtrack, adding an extra musical element of foreshadowing. Apparently, there was a sequel made two decades later, but it is best we don’t talk about it. Come on down to The Slaughtered Lamb, grab a pint, and beware when the full moon shines bright.
