Womanthology Space #1 started things out with some interesting and strong contributions and Womanthology Space #2 does NOT disappoint. The individual stories provide quick short narratives that are female-protagonist focused and fun.
While some of the authors and artists are clearly working on developing their talent, the different styles only suffer from a moment of jarring as one switches styles and mediums (simple lines to more complicated illustrations to black and white can make the eyes swim a little) but for the most part, the stories provide wonderful vignettes; some poignant, some just humorous.
This is the kind of comic book that I often wondered about creating myself with friends and realizing that I couldn’t draw to save my life! I think this is a good concept and with a bit more polish applied to the individual contributors, this could be a top-notch offering. This is definitely a way to keep track of up and coming female artists and writers!
