Los Angeles, CA (November 17th, 2015) – The LA KISS have been assigned three former NFL players to their roster for the 2016 AFL season. They have acquired offensive linemen, Travis Bond, cornerback, Qumain Black, and wide receiver, Justin Wilson.
“I’m really excited to see what these guys can do because they all have so much experience,” said Head Coach, Omarr Smith. “Black and Winston have tremendous athleticism and the potential to be impact players. Travis Bond could really develop into a dominate offensive lineman within this league.”
Travis Bond, the 6’6”, 329lbs, offensive linemen, originally from North Carolina, is entering his 1st season in the AFL. Bond played collegiate football at the University of North Carolina where he appeared in 51 games in his 4 year career. Following college, Bond spent two seasons in the NFL, with the Minnesota Vikings, Carolina Panthers, and St. Louis Rams.
Qumain Black, the 5’10”, 188lbs, cornerback, comes to the LA KISS from the Chicago Bears and is entering his 1st season in the AFL. Black was signed by the Bears following the 2015 draft from East Central University. At East Central, Black was a 4 year starter and earned “All-GAC First Team Selection” and made the “Don Hansen All-Super Region Three Third Team,” in 2013.
Justin Wilson, the 6’1”, 175lbs, wide receiver, is also entering his 1st season in the AFL. He attended Delaware State where he is ranked 2nd for receptions (189), 4th for touchdowns (23) and 4th in receiving yards (2,416).
