Seekiing out old friends Patrick (Neil Patrick Harris) and Grace (Jayma Mays), the Smurfs must rescue their adopted sister saving the world and Smurf village.
The DVD bonus features were limited to deleted scenes and two featurettes, Daddy’s Little Girl: The Journey of Smurfette and Animating Azrael.
In Daddy’s Little Girl, Smurfette knows that she was originally created by Gargamel and struggles to accept herself as part of the extended Smurf family. Katy Perry, who voices Smurfette discusses the struggles the character goes through and how she comes to find herself realizing that family isn’t always blood related.
Animating Azrael, focuses on the technological advancements in how they used four cats as Azrael and how Sony Animation was able to animate the cat in the more difficult scenes that the real felines could not perform.
This is one your kids will love and bring back some memories for fans of the original show. Maybe Johan and Peewee will show up in the third incarnation.
