Some people want to change their life, but sometimes their lives won’t let them change like this guy in Redeemer: Violence Awakened
Ever want to be left alone, but your past actions won’t let you be at peace. For some it’s anxiety, for others it’s their kids, for this guy it seems like he used to kill people and now they’re trying to kill him. Redeemer: Violence Awakened is a top down close-quarter action games developed by Sobaka and being published by Gambitious Digital Entertainment. Redeemer is set to release this spring on Windows PC through Steam and GOG.com
Here’s the official game synopsis:
Redeemer’s single-player story follows a former elite operative whose violent past finally catches up with him after years of living in hiding within a remote mountain monastery. Punch, kick, hammer, hack, smash and shoot through hordes of enemies on a merciless mission for justice against the shadowy corporate forces you once worked for. From hard-hitting stealth takedowns to over-the-top environmental kills, every move bursts with raw energy and visceral sound design.
Redeemer looks crazy. Smashing people with a sledge hammer, performing deadly combos on people’s faces, and clearing out insurmountable odds is usually a really good time. My thing with top-down action games, I don’t tend to like them too much if they’re only single-player. I don’t have all the details left, so I still have hope the game will have couch co-op, but the “single-player story” has me believing it is just a solo game. Then again, why go out of the way to mention single-player if there aren’t going to be game modes with multiple players. I am a huge fan of top-down action beat’em up style games so I’m very hopeful for Redeemer. Personally, I look forward to knocking people off of high ledges with a mighty swing of my sledge hammer.
