With a little less than 3 days left in their campaign, Power Rangers: Heroes of the Grid is over 500% funded
Power Rangers: Heroes of the Grid is going to be an incredible tabletop game featuring the original Mighty Morphin Power Rangers and their quest to defeat Rita Repulsa. Renegade Studio’s Kickstarter was funded within the first 8 hours of launching, and with a little under 3 days left, is well over 500% funded. At his point, any interested backer can just back the campaign, claim your Kickstarter stretch goals and exclusives, and watch as more and more Power Ranger and tabletop fans join together to claim even more stretch goals.
The game is a co-operative tabletop for 2-5 players that challenges the team to save Angel Grove from Rita Repulsa. The game mechanics revolve around card and dice-based combat, and character tokens for location and quantity representation. The game is based on the Mighty Morphin Power Rangers era, expanding to the Green Ranger, and White Ranger eras in the add-ons, and will also expand to Shattered Grid.
There are 4 pledge levels:
It’s Morphin Time! ($75)
If you go for the Morphin Master! All In pledge level, you’ll get well over 130 figures, and a bunch of cards that I lost count of. You will have a massive amount of game to play. Even with the base game alone, you’re looking at multiple weekends worth of fun, through the numerous different character, minion, and master combinations. You can check out some gameplay from Power Morphin Con here:
Personally, I went All In because I really want the Shattered Grid expansion. Shattered Grid has greatly reignited my Power Rangers fandom and gotten me to truly appreciate the lore, legacy, and heart of the Power Rangers franchise. But, also after watching the gameplay, and just seeing how encompassing the experience is, I want it ALL!
Honestly, there’s a lot to this game, and I can’t really explain it all. I’m more of the make someone read the rules and tell me what to do type. But from what I gathered from watching the gameplay, it’s a ton of fun and I really like the whole strength in unity aspect of the game, which is something that has been greatly emphasized in the franchise since the beginning. I honestly can’t wait to play it. I’ve attached some pictures from the Kickstarter Campaign and some of the videos but there is so much to check out, so be sure to head to Kickstarter to get more information and pledge for your own copy of the game.
