Peppa Pig: Sunny Vacation is based on the Nick Jr. series featuring Peppa Pig and her friends and is distributed through Fox Home Entertainment.
The four-part vacation series follows Peppa, her little piglet brother George, Mummy Pig and Daddy Pig as they venture our to the beach. It leads them on their journey to the beach, setting up the summer home in Italy, enjoying the fun and the sun (remember kiddies, wear sun screen) and finally as good things must all come to an end, the Pig family returning home.
Along with the four-part series, there are an additional eight episodes from the series that follow Peppa Pig and her adventures.
I had never head of Peppa Pig before being asked to review this sweet little series, but this is one of those kids shows that won’t drive parents insane like Barney or Teletubbies. I am a little jealous that Peppa and her family got to go to Italy, a place where I have yet to visit…but maybe next year.
What’s nice about this series, besides not having parents searching for ear plugs is that it doesn’t talk down to kids, placing it at a level they could easily understand the subject matter. Think Lil Bill from the end of last century, another Nick Jr. hit toddler series.
Peppa Pig: Sunny Vacation is available now on DVD, has a 60 minute run time and is also available in Spanish dubbing. This is easily a quality hour spent with your little ones.
