July Geek Fuel Unboxing
The super, the paranormal, and the extra-terrestrial are breaking through time and space in this July Geek Fuel Unboxing
It’s August now, but don’t think we’ve forgotten our July Geek Fuel Box. July 2016 was easily one of the nerdiest months of the year with both Anime Expo and Comic-Con it is a packed month. In respect to probably one of the nerdiest months Nerdom, Geek Fuel did not disappoint and packed their box to the brim. July’s Geek Fuel Box featured items based on the Ghostbusters, PvZ, Aliens, Super Mario, and Dr. Who. The items range from playing cards, to a shower curtain. So let’s go over the highs and lows.
Lows
July’s Geek Fuel Box had no real low point in terms of what the items are. Each item is of good quality. I think at most, that is to say, the most useless item is the Boo-Busters Button or the Plants vs. Zombies Garden Warfare 2 Vinyl Sticker. Again, both items are of high quality, and I really like the cross-over of Super Mario and the Ghostbusters for the Boo-Busters Button. But, I have no use for either. They are still fan-worthy items, and it would not be hard to find some who would love those items. Nothing in this box matches the jankiness of last month’s Pokemon Tatoo and Nintendo Stamp.
Highs
The Slimer Shirt and it’s packaging is easily the highlight of this box. The box the shirt comes in is designed like the Ghost Trap from Ghostbusters, and the shirt comes out of the top hatch as if Slimer were being captured or released. As a meta kicker, the shirt has Slimer being caught/released into a Ghost Trap. Geek Fuel is the master at unique packaging. The Badlands game code comes with a Badlands air freshener. If you’ve played the game, you’ll get the hilarity behind that. Also a Tardis shower curtain! I use shower doors, so I can’t use it, but it’s still a brilliant item. I’m going to have a very popular white elephant gift for this holiday season.
July Geek Fuel Unboxing
Overall
July’s Geek Fuel Box is easily one of their strongest boxes. We’ve got the Slimer Shirt, Badlands air freshener with game code, Aliens playing cards, PvZ Vinyl Sticker, Tardis Shower Curtain, and Boo-Busters Button. Every item in this month’s box is a solid use of the IP. However, the Slimer Shirt, Tardis Shower Curtain, and Badlands air freshener with the game code, are probably the most clever Geek Fuel has been. It really shows the creativity and effort they put into their Boxes of Geeky Goodness. Geek Fuel notoriously sells out of their boxes every month, so be sure to head over to GeekFuel.com to pick up your August box.
