It’s been over a decade since Disney/Pixar released the first Incredibles. Brad Bird’s fan-favorite superpowered family feature became an instant classic, and we’re finally getting a sequel. The new animated film takes place right where the first one left us in 2004, bringing the family, and Frozone, back together. This time to battle an all-new threat in the Underminer.
The original cast returns, alongside a new voice, with Craig T. Nelson as Mr. Incredible, Holly Hunter as Elastigirl, Sarah Vowell as Violet, Huck Milner as “Dash”, Samuel L. Jackson as Frozone, Brad Bird as Edna Mode, and John Ratzenberger as the evil Underminer.
Here’s the official synopsis:
In Incredibles 2, Helen (voice of Holly Hunter) is called on to lead a campaign to bring Supers back, while Bob (voice of Craig T. Nelson) navigates the day-to-day heroics of “normal” life at home with Violet (voice of Sarah Vowell), Dash (voice of Huck Milner) and baby Jack-Jack—whose superpowers are about to be discovered. Their mission is derailed, however, when a new villain emerges with a brilliant and dangerous plot that threatens everything. But the Parrs don’t shy away from a challenge, especially with Frozone (voice of Samuel L. Jackson) by their side. That’s what makes this family so Incredible.
After a few teasers to whet your appetite a sneak peek was released during the Olympics yesterday. And here it is you lucky person you.
Incredibles 2 hits theaters on June 15th.
