IDW’s “Star Trek: I, Enterprise” is amazing. It’s an original story by Mike Johnson that is truly Trek series worthy. I kept thinking throughout the whole read that is would make an amazing episode for TV. It introduces an original character named “Science Officer 0718”, to our original crew, who’s origins are not known to us as of yet. The story is highly entertaining as we learn more about “Science Officer 0718” and an incident with a “perfect spheroid” that is of course composed of unknown materials. There’s a period where the Enterprise and her crew are thrown in danger which creates nail biting drama. It ends with a major cliffhanger which is always fun.
Erfan Fajar did an amazing job on the art and Sakti Yuwons and Ifansyah Noor from Stellar Labs bring life to every page with the colors. The layout is simply beautiful and every character jumps off the page. Several pages are simply stunning and are pure artistic beauty. Combine the art, colors and story and you have an amazing book which this definitely is by any standard. I can not recommend this enough to any Trek fan. Truly a five star book. I can not wait to see how the story continues.
