Former Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) Welterweight Champion Georges St-Pierre, co-stars in the remake, Kickboxer: Vengeance as Kavi, a contender who threw all his potential away on drugs and alcohol who wishes to regain his sense of purpose and recognition that he feels he is entitle to.
“He’s a fighter that never made it. He is a fighter in Tang Po’s (David Bautista) camp that never made it. Something happened in his life that drives him to drugs and alcohol. When Kurt (Alain Moussi) comes in, he has a choice to make in staying in this life where Tang Po doesn’t respect him or treat him with dignity or going to help Kurt in his quest,” said St-Pierre about his role in the first installment of this trilogy.
However, Kickboxer: Vengeance wasn’t the only topic of discussion as not only did St-Pierre express a desire to return to the UFC Octagon but now that testing has evolved but also spoke about fellow Canadian, training partner and protege Rory MacDonald’s jump to Bellator MMA.
“I think it’s a good move for him because he’s going to have a better quality of life and it is a good choice for his career, it’s amazing. I am very happy for him,” said St-Pierre about his friend.
Kickboxer: Vengeance is now out in limited release and on VOD.
