The EniTab 360 Stand is versatile, practical, and perfect for any tab -EniTab 360 Review
Tablets are awesome. They’re the perfect middle ground of phone and computer. It is big enough to handle the tasks that are usually too annoying on my phone like reading, ordering food, and streaming on planes. Plus it is much more convenient than having to get up off the couch to turn on your desktop/laptop to shop online or watch a video. Or if you like falling asleep with some Netflix and a TV is too bright and loud and/or would keep your significant other awake, tablets are perfect for that as well. However, holding a tablet can be a burden. You ever try to hold your tablet up while you binge-watch a series on a 15-hour flight? Your shoulders give out and you end up with a crick in your neck laying down your tablet. And holding your tablet up while trying to go to sleep, requires way too much energy for you to fall asleep.
Luckily, there’s the EniTAB 360 Tablet Holder/Stand. There are a lot of stands out there, and if you have an iPad, chances are you go with that foldable cover that doubles as a stand. Which, if you’re trapped in the Apple Bubble, is your standard go to. It makes sense, get Apple products for your Apple products. But let’s be real, Apple does not make the best accessories. I love the foldable cover to cover the tablet, but that weird barred imprint it leaves is annoying. I clean my screen regularly, so I don’t know where in the oil/dirt/substance comes from to leave those bars every single time. Yes, I know the science behind it- shut up. Anyway-
The EniTAB 360 is, technology-wise, a much more upgraded holder and stand. It does not offer screen protection as say a cover/case + stand would (Though a case can be purchased that will incorporate the EniTab). But in terms of a functioning stand, the EniTAB 360 does it much better than your standard Apple accessories. First and foremost, the EniTAB 360 can stand your tablet on any side. It is not beholden to only standing with the charger on your right side, or vertically- it goes up, down, left, right. Which most stands will not do. This alone makes it one of the best stands you can get. There are a few other stands and cases with this kind of feature built in, but will generally run you more than $19.99 and will be specific to a brand and model. The EniTab works on any tab! Get it?
Another advantage to the EniTAB 360, on top of 360-degree standing and universal functionality, is it’s adjustable viewing angles. Most holders are locked-in at an angle, and any stand/case combo has notches in which it is viewable. While yes, most of those notches will cover you, sometimes there’s only one angle you can watch that is comfortable and does not strain your neck- like on an airplane- and that is where the fluid viewing angles the EniTAB 360 offers are clutch!
Other features, which I won’t say are exclusive to the EniTAB, are that it’s easy to install, use, and has a sleek design that doesn’t draw attention to it. That’s a personal preference, if you’re looking for a bold pattern to represent you, the simple elegance might not be for you. Installation is simple: remove a sticker from the adhesive, place it center on the back of the tablet, and apply pressure. However, removal is kind of a pain. They give you a card to slip the adhesive off, but because of the pressure you have to apply to remove it, it gives you the feeling you might break it. Though I must note, I’ve done it 3 times and it’s still going strong without any damage. It’s just a scary feeling.
There are two downsides to the EniTAB, bulk and grip. One downside to the EniTAB, that is common in all cases/holders, stands, that attach to tablet, is that it increases its size. Because of the size, it makes it difficult to fit in holders and stands. I use a lot of those adjustable arm stands to hold my tablet at work and home because of surface availability and height adjustments, and attempting to get those grips around the tablet with the EniTAB attached is a no go. Now in its defense, it is doubling up on stands. Asking it to work in combination with another stand is above an beyond. The second downside, which is innate to the EniTAB, is it is not comfortable to hold. It is a weird thing, that doesn’t matter in terms of its functionality. However, when you realize the EniTAB can act as a hook to hold the tablet, it is an uncomfortable hook. While as a stand, functionality is 100% flawless, but tablets are also meant to be held and be portable. The EniTAB is not comfortable to hold. If you hold it your tablet by the side it is not an issue. But hooking it over your hand or trying to hold it by the tail end, is not comfortable. Now, these are both things that aren’t design flaws in any way. However, they’re things that do come up and would give it that little extra, taking it from a great item to a masterful must-have item. It’s like having a shoulder strap on your duffle bag. It doesn’t need it, you probably won’t use it, but all of them have it because one person added it, and realized it would make it better. Now they all have it.
The EniTAB 360 is a great stand for any tablet. It is geniusly designed to stand tablets on any side and at any angle, which is something most other stands cannot say. It is also elegantly sleek, easy to use, and universally applicable to any tablet regardless of brand. This is a key feature because, at the rate technology changes, you will not be required to buy yet another specific stand for your upgrade. The only downsides, have nothing to do with the functionality and use of itself or the tablet and only worth mentioning in terms of why it isn’t quite perfect. But as far as tablet stands go, there are very few that will match is capabilities and versatility. My EniTAB 360 review gets a 4/5.
