This summer’s D23 Expo will feature the world premier of Disney in Concert: A Silly Symphony Celebration. This event will include a live 32 piece orchestra featuring the music of Disney’s Silly Symphony Shorts and hosted by Disney historian Leonard Maltin. The music will be performed in synchronization with the cartoon shorts. The concert will show case music from Three Little Pigs, The Old Mill, along with many other classics in a 70 minute presentation. Fans will have two opportunities to see the concert on August 16th at 11am and 2pm.
The Disney Music Emporium will also be hosting a pop-up store on the show floor at the expo. The booth with give fans a chance to attend signing from award winning Disney featured composers and producers. Limited quantities of music products and treasures will be available along with the change to pre-order the highly anticipated Silly Symphony Collection box set. The box set includes music from all 75 cartoons from 1929-1939, spanning over 8 hours on 16 vinyl LPs.
