Visually arresting indie game, Cologne, arrives on the Windows Store; latest Steam update adds new features and customization options
Created by 19-year-old solo developer Piotr Mlynarczyk of Nhneno Games, Cologne has also been recently updated on Steam – featuring 3 distinct race modes, 28 tracks, and tons of customization options for bikes and riders.
Welcome to the Cologne Racing System, an intergalactic racing program with a unique set of rules. Your mission? To win at all costs – and “colonize” each track in the process … in every possible configuration (track, sprint, drag). Broken up after leaving Earth behind and spreading out to different planets, humanity’s last remaining “human” trait is competition. Cologne fills that need with intense, no-holds-barred racing that measures the true worth of each adopted world.
Pipe tracks separate racers from inclement atmospheric conditions. New driving techniques are developed every day – separating winners and losers. Unpredictable obstacles and brutal hazards challenge riders to alternate between aggressive passing and evasive maneuvers: One wrong move, and … BOOM!
Whether you’re racing online against skilled human opponents – or taking on A.I. riders – your skills are about to be put to the test. Ride fast – or come in last.
“The Millennium Bridge in London was the original inspiration for Cologne. It already looks like a futuristic racing track! I’m a huge fan of science fiction and racing games. With my love for Wipeout and F-Zero, I just had to create a futuristic racing game of my own. That game is Cologne.” – Piotr Młynarczyk (Founder, Nhneno Games)
