Christmas Wishlist – Top 5 Manga from Viz Media
Viz Media has released a ton of manga this year and it’s hard to pick which ones to get, especially when you’re on a budget. So here are my top 5 manga to put on the Christmas wishlist from Viz Media.
5. Platinum End
“In Platinum End, as his classmates celebrate their middle school graduation, troubled Mirai is mired in darkness. But his battle is just beginning when he receives some salvation from above in the form of an angel. Now Mirai is pitted against 12 other chosen humans in a battle in which the winner becomes the next god of the world. Mirai has an angel in his corner, but he may need to become a devil to survive.”
Platinum End was made by the creators of Death Note and Bakuman. If you, or a friend, is a fan of either series then I recommend putting this one on the first Christmas wishlist.
4. Mobile Suit Gundam Thunderbolt
“In the Universal Century year 0079, the space colony known as Side 3 proclaims independence as the Principality of Zeon and declares war on the Earth Federation. One year later, they are locked in a fierce battle for the Thunderbolt Sector, an area of space scarred by the wreckage of destroyed colonies.”
I’ll always be biased for the Gundam Wing series, but I’ll admit I enjoyed reading the first volume of this series. The story starts off with a rivalry and it’s intriguing to see how it will end and who will live.
3. Pokemon Pocket Comics
Pokémon stories, puns and jokes! Fun multiple-choice quizzes! The Pokémon of the Kalos region are all gathered together in this hilarious collection starring Fennekin, Froakie, Chespin, and the rest of the new X·Y Pokémon, Mega-Evolved Pokémon and more! 2. The Pokemon Cookbook: Easy & Fun Recipes

Make a Poké Ball sushi roll, Pikachu-style ramen, or “Meowth” mashed potatoes for your next party, weekend activity, or powered-up lunch box.
1. The Promised Neverland
“Life at Grace Field House has been good for Emma and her fellow orphans. While the daily studying and exams they have to take are tough, their loving caretaker provides them with delicious foods and plenty of playtime. But perhaps not everything is as it seems.”
This one is a personal favorite of mine. I was blown away from the very first chapter. Just when you thought the story was going to be about a bunch of happy kids living with their caretaker, things go 180 real quick. If you know someone that loves manga that mess with the psychological aspect of the characters like Deathnote, I highly recommend this one.
Happy Holidays!
