Customer service just ain’t what it used to be. In Iron Man 3 and Mission: Impossible — Rogue Nation scribe Drew Pearce‘s directorial debut, Hotel Artemis, customer service takes on a whole new warped meaning. The eponymous location serves as a haven for wounded criminals in a dystopian Los Angeles set in 2028. The first trailer for the action flick which looks to be quite similar to The Continental in the John Wick films, complete with an all-star cast headlined by Oscar-winner Jodie Foster.
Sterling K. Brown stars as the ringleader of a gang of robbers whose heist goes bad, leaving some of his crew wounded and forced to stay at the Hotel Artemis in order to be treated by the Nurse (Foster). Of course, the halls of this decaying institution is populated with an array of shady figures, some of whom have some bad history. Co-starring alongside Foster and Brown is an all-star cast of action and comedic talent, including Sofia Boutella, Jeff Goldblum, Brian Tyree Henry, Jenny Slate, Zachary Quinto, Charlie Day, and Dave Bautista.
Between the cast, the concept, and this kick-ass trailer, Drew Pearce’s Hotel Artemis has skyrocketed toward the top of my most anticipated movies of 2018 list. Global Road Entertainment will open up the Hotel Artemis in theaters on June 8, 2018.
