Another Cool Year at BlizzCon – BlizzCon 2017 Roundup

GameStop, Inc.

BlizzCon 2017 was packed full of Blizzard news that chilled fans to their bones, here’s the roundup of the biggest announcements.

Like a passing season, BlizzCon 2017 has passed and a gaggle of anxious gamers are now in high anticipation of what Blizzard is bringing to the table. There were no new game announcements, which isn’t a surprise as Blizzard’s game hook us and keep us entertained for what appears to be decades at a time before releasing a finely polished new game. Personally, I’m only on Overwatch and amped on the new support character Moira, and in awe of the Reinhardt video. But there is so much more to behold. Here’s a round up of the big announcements from BlizzCon 2017:

StarCraft II

  • Free-to-play—Starting November 14, players will get free access to the acclaimed Wings of Liberty campaign, ranked ladder play, and all Co-Op Commanders up to level five.
  • Mira Han and Matt Horner—The newest Co-Op Commander is actually two commanders in one: command a devastating mixture of high-powered Dominion air units as Matt Horner and fast-moving ground units as Mira Han.

Heroes of the Storm

  • Hanzo and Alexstraza—Two new heroes, Dragons of the Nexus, will bring new and dramatically different styles of play to Heroes of the Storm later this year.
