Kid Heroes Productions and Beyond Time Comics premiered “Black Tiger Hunter Hunted” at this year’s WonderCon in Anaheim, CA. Based off of John Hervey’s “Black Tiger” comic books, “Black Tiger Hunter Hunted” is a short film likely to be the start of an even bigger project. “Black Tiger Hunter Hunted” is the culmination of over a decade’s worth of work and sacrifice. It truly is “…a labor of love.” (Mish’al Samman, Timofeev) that is a testament to what can be accomplished with dedication, belief, and surrounding oneself with great company.
***Last summer I was fortunate enough to get to work on this project, so I cannot give an unbiased opinion on how great this film is. However, I honestly believe that the film is an embodiment of the passion and soul that everyone involved gave to it. From the creator and his family, the cast and crew, to the numerous backers who helped fund it. “Black Tiger Hunter Hunted” is living proof of dreams coming true. [not sure if I am supposed to note that I was part of the project]
Look out for “Black Tiger Hunter Hunted” as it makes its way around the film festivals and convention circuits. Its next stops are Alamo City Comic-Con and APE. “Black Tiger Hunter Hunted” stars Robin Shou and Angelo Fong, directed by Patricio Ginelsa, and created John Hervey.
