Monday, June 11th, before you see the next Jurassic World, 25th Anniversary Jurassic Park Screening at The Greek Theater

“We’ve made a living biological attraction so astounding, that they’ll capture the imagination of the entire planet!” – Dr. Hammond

It’s been 25 years since dinosaurs were brought back to life and both amazed and frightened us on the silver screen. In three weeks, the 5th film in the same franchise will release. But on Monday, you can relive the wonder that captured “the imagination of the entire planet” with a Jurassic Park Screening in celebration of the film’s 25th Anniversary at the historic Greek Theater in Los Angeles.  Here’s the official information about the event from Fandango:

Jurassic Park Screening

LOS ANGELES, MAY 31, 2018 – Fandango, the ultimate digital network for all things movies, is teaming up with Universal Pictures and The Greek Theatre in Los Angeles to host an exclusive screening of Universal and Amblin Entertainment’s Jurassic Park on June 11, the 25th anniversary of the classic film’s original release date. The event, hosted by Fandango and Universal, will also feature surprise guests, giveaways and a sneak peek of new footage from Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom, arriving in theaters on June 22, 2018.

The special event will pay homage to the film that started it all with dino-themed activities for families and fans, plus a pre-screening introduction by Jurassic series producer and Amblin co-founder Frank Marshall (interviewed by evening host and Fandango Correspondent Nikki Novak), along with special guests. Tickets for the 7:30 pm event are officially on-sale today through Ticketmaster for $15 each, or $50 for a bundle of four, and can be purchased at http://www.ticketmaster.com/event/090054B7CCC65B6D.

“It’s hard to believe that it’s been 25 years since Steven Spielberg’s Jurassic Park first electrified film fans with its heart-pounding action,” says Fandango Chief Marketing Officer Adam Rockmore. “We are thrilled to bring fans of all ages together at The Greek to celebrate this iconic film on the evening of its 25th anniversary and on the eve of the June release of Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom.”

Fandango FanShop, Fandango’s online merchandise marketplace, will be on site at the Greek Theatre with merchandise, movie gear and posters for the ultimate Jurassic fans. The event is part of Fandango’s multi-year partnership with The Greek designed to create memorable experiences for movie fans throughout the year.

“The historic Greek Theatre is excited to celebrate Jurassic Park’s 25th Anniversary with Fandango and Universal,” says Becky Colwell, General Manager of the Greek Theatre. “It’s the perfect way to honor the groundbreaking film that first enthralled fans 25 years ago.”

About “Jurassic Park”

In director Steven Spielberg’s three-time Academy Award®-winning blockbuster “Jurassic Park,” paleontologists Alan Grant (Sam Neill) and Ellie Sattler (Laura Dern) and mathematician Ian Malcolm (Jeff Goldblum) are among a select group chosen to tour an island theme park populated by dinosaurs created from prehistoric DNA.  While the park’s mastermind, billionaire John Hammond (Richard Attenborough), assures everyone that the facility is safe, they find out otherwise when various ferocious predators break free and go on the hunt.

The groundbreaking epic that launched one of the most popular series in cinema history stars Neill, Dern, Goldblum, Samuel L. Jackson and Attenborough.  Originally released in theaters on June 11, 1993, “Jurassic Park” is based on the novel by Michael Crichton and produced by Kathleen Kennedy and Gerald R. Molen.
